Reading List - Literacy Across the Curriculum

I gave a talk to parents about how they could help at home with their son and daughter. In the feedback they gave me, they commented on how they found it difficult to select books for their child. Hopefully, this will help them. Please let me know if you have other books to recommend.

Recommended Reading List
Everybody has a favourite book and it is very hard to select a list of books to recommend to parents and students. This list is only the tip of the iceberg. There are many more that we could add to this list. Please feel free to email suggestions and I will add them to the list.

The ages in brackets are only a recommendation of the suitability of the content and reading level.  Although the English teachers have read most of these books, we haven’t read everyone so it is advisable that you have a quick skim of the book to check its suitability.

* shows that the book is a series of books.
